Tyson Fury enrols for drug testing ahead of clash with Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua is reportedly on his way to London to face off with Tyson Fury after his rival finally enrolled in drug testing.

The British heavyweight titans are set to lock horns on December 11 at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium in a blockbuster fight that has been a decade in the making.

A press conference has been scheduled for Wednesday in the English capital, but there has been considerable uncertainty regarding whether it would go ahead.

Joshua was prepared to boycott the launch press event unless Fury registered with the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA).

AJ had it written into his contract that both men would enter into the testing pool once they had both put pen to paper on their respective agreements with Turki Alalshikh earlier this year.

However, Fury’s side of the deal stated that he didn’t have to undergo drug testing until the fight was signed off.

A few days before the Battle of Britain was officially announced on Thursday, Joshua began publicly applying pressure for Fury – who received a backdated two-year doping suspension in 2017 – to enrol with VADA.

The Watford powerhouse even shared an email from VADA president Dr Margaret Goodman seeking Fury’s whereabouts.

According to The Sun, Fury has now joined the testing pool as of Monday afternoon, putting an end to the saga.

This has given Joshua the green light he was looking for to travel from his home in Dubai to London this week.
